2022 Laird Family Estate Pinot Grigio, Cold Creek Ranch, Carneros, California (750ml)   

This is one of the most nicest examples of California Pinot Grigio we have found. Remarkably consistent 3 vintages running, it comes from an ideally situated vineyard in Carneros right on the Napa/Sonoma county line, and if you have driven from Marin County to Napa you have passed right by the vineyard.

Producer notes: The Laird Family’s Cold Creek Ranch is a 300 acre vineyard located on the Sonoma side of the Carneros district. The cooling sea breezes from the San Pablo Bay are perfectly suited for Pinot Grigio as well as Chardonnay, two grapes varieties that thrive in this special vineyard.

The shimmering straw color introduces vigorous fragrances resembling guava, white peach, lime, and honeysuckle. Light-bodied with crisp acidity, this wine has a satisfying round mouthfeel. Notes of pear, ripe melon and starfruit dance across the palate, leaving you yearning for the next sip. This is the perfect wine to beat the summer heat with. 100% stainless steel fermented.
