2017 Rossi-Wallace Pinot Noir, Napa Valley, California (750ml)   

Regrettably the last vintage of this lovely Pinot that we will see. Made by Ric Forman (Forman Vineyards) and his wife Cheryl from Piero Antinori's Atlas Peak vineyard . . .

Atlas Peak is not an area one associates with Pinot Noir, but there is a small block of the variety planted where cold air drainage keeps it happy. Unfortunately Ric and Cheryl have lost access to the fruit, and have decided to retire the Rossi-Wallace label. We still have the venerable wines from Forman Vineyard, and have savored the various wines from Rossi-Wallace (named for Ric & Cheryl's respective mothers) while they were produced. ~ Peter Granoff, MS
