2019-C Cantine Birgi “Liburna” Nero d'Avola, Sicily, Italy (750ml)
2022 Laird Family Estate Pinot Grigio, Cold Creek Ranch, Carneros, California (750ml)
This is one of the most nicest examples of California Pinot Grigio we have found. Remarkably consistent 3 vintages running, it comes from an ideally situated vineyard in Carneros right on the Napa/Sonoma county line, and if you have driven from Marin County to Napa you have passed right by the vineyard.

About the Icons
A Monthly Wine Club Selection
M. Christian Voeux has a long and storied history in the southern Rhône valley. After 24 years as the Maître de Chais (cellar master) at the renowned Château Mont-Redon in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, he left Mont-Redon to run Château la Nerthe, another well respected Châteauneuf-du-Pape property. When his parents retired in 2005, Christian decided to take over the family property in Séguret and began making the wines. The results have been stunning.

Bruno Cormerais took over the small farm after the death of his father in 1971, which included 7 hectares of vines planted in 1936, the year of official recognition of the Muscadet appellation by the INAO.
2019-C Domaine de Noire Soif de Tendresse Chinon, Loire Valley, France (750ml)
About the Icons
A Monthly Wine Club Selection
Deep ruby with a garnet rim. Delightful violet aromas, recalling the Loire Valley in spring. The palate is lush for Chinon, showing ripe berry fruit, green herbs, a touch of spice and a slight chalkiness typical of Loire Cabernet Franc. Very well balanced. Enjoy slightly chilled in the warmer months.

2021 Hourglass HG III Red Blend, Napa Valley, California (750ml)
About the Icons
A Red Cellar Trio Quarterly Wine Club Selection
Hourglass is two vineyards, a winery and a compilation of estate wines: a vision unfolding... Jeff Smith founded Hourglass in 1997 from his family’s 4-acre parcel located just north of St. Helena, where Napa Valley forms its narrowest point, the “pinch” of the Hourglass. The storied Cabernet Sauvignon produced from this vineyard started the journey that continues to unfold today. The magic of this vineyard property would soon prove itself, as it debuted in a blind tasting alongside the recognized California Cabernet giants of the day and held its own in that rare company.
